Rancho Federal Credit Union is proud to be serving members for over 80 years with exceptional service and rates, with strong ties to union workers.
Rancho Federal Credit Union is required to be NCUA compliant, which means passing rigorous IT security audit involving annual policy review, penetration testing, and disaster recovery testing.
We work closely with Security Compliance Associates (www.scasecurity.com), who specializes in security assessment of financial institutions, healthcare organizations, title and settlement companies, Government/Public Sector organizations and other businesses who handle sensitive information.
Our role is to gather necessary documentation as well as implementing new cyber security enhancements recommended by SCA, who in turn prepares the final submission to the NCUA auditors. Our combined efforts have enabled Rancho Federal Credit Union to successfully pass the annual audit several years running as we continue to make improvements.
“AS A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, WE HAVE VARIOUS NEEDS THAT REQUIRE A TEAM WITH A STRONG NETWORKING BACKGROUND TO ASSIST OUR IT DEPARTMENT AND PROVIDE GENERAL SUPPORT FOR OUR END USERS. WHEN WE MET WITH RELION FOR THE FIRST TIME IT WAS EVIDENT THAT THEY NOT ONLY COULD MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS BUT COULD ALSO HELP STRENGTHEN OUR CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE.”
– Liseth S., System Administrator
Since joining Rancho, we have gained valuable new insights into cyber security best practices. When assessing other clients, we often ask ourselves, “would this be good enough for Rancho?” While not every client requires the rigors of a financial institution, some basic cyber security best practices cuts across all clients, such as multifactor authentication, regular cleanup of unused accounts, and good documentation.
As the saying goes, a rising tide lifts all boats. In our case, it means better security for all our clients as we hone our skills protecting our most secure client.
